Pastoral Council Meetings
The parish pastoral council normally meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 6:00pm in the former 2nd grade classroom at the school. Parishioners are welcome to attend and observe the council meeting. If you wish to raise a specific issue, please first contact the council chair at kauaistcatherinePPC@gmail.com so that time can be allocated in the agenda to hear and discuss the issue.
The typical council meeting agenda follows this format:
- Opening prayer
- Faith Formation reflection and discussion
- Report from the pastor
- Reports from representatives of one or more committees and ministries (changing each month)
- Discussion of topics raised in previous meetings (old business)
- Discussion of new topics (new business)
- Sharing and discussion of feedback council members received from parishioners
- Self-evaluation of how the meeting went and how to improve it
- Closing prayer
Meetings generally last an hour and a half or a little longer.
